Strengths

The distinctive Chinese-inspired dark fantasy art and the atmosphere of “ascension through flesh and blood” give the game a strong identity.
A wide range of classes, weapons, secret techniques, relics, and builds provides many replay options.
The combat delivers great satisfaction, both through the thrill of wiping out enemies with huge damage after completing a build and through its impressive numbers.

Weaknesses

The early game is excessively difficult until players collect external progression resources, and repeatedly farming certain sections can feel burdensome.
The difficulty drops sharply after progression, creating an unnatural curve between the early and late game.
The maps and enemy compositions are repetitive, and some players feel that more DLC and bosses are needed.
