Strengths

It supplements the original’s true ending and Okabe’s character while expanding gaps in the worldbuilding and setting.
Its deep, detailed script, interconnected stories, and strong deterministic atmosphere are highly praised.
The emotional thread centered on the relationship between Kurisu and Okabe and the AI “Amadeus” is impressive.

Weaknesses

Multiple viewpoints and routes can diffuse the flow of the story and make the overall narrative feel weakly connected.
Some developments involving Kagari and her characterization are criticized as abrupt and contrived to fit the setting.
The quality and logic of the script vary from route to route, and the motives behind some twists and events are not sufficiently explained.
