Best for It is especially suitable for players who enjoy a lighthearted adventure that can be completed in a short time, Sonic character-focused fan service, and casual mystery and comedy. Players unfamiliar with Sonic can still enjoy it, but knowing the setting and character backgrounds makes the ending and jokes more enjoyable. Players who do not want challenging action should lower the minigame difficulty through the accessibility settings.

Strengths

Excellent visuals, including appealing art, character illustrations, and visual effects
A story enhanced by cheerful character interactions and light comedy
A unique combination of point-and-click investigation and fast-paced ring-collecting minigames

Weaknesses

The overall length is short, and some players want more endings
The mandatory ring-collecting minigames become more difficult later on and may disrupt the main investigation flow
Players expecting a mystery game may feel that the running minigames occupy too much of the experience
