Strengths

The hold-based parrying and sword-focused combat are distinctive and left a strong impression on some players.
The cute pixel art of Yurina and the other goddesses, along with the overall graphical polish, is of high quality.
Its accessibility as an inexpensive fan game that can be enjoyed in a short session is viewed positively.

Weaknesses

Most reviews estimate the game lasts around 1.5–2 hours and criticize the content as far too short.
There is too little exploration expansion through ability acquisition for it to convincingly be considered a Metroidvania.
Players repeatedly say that the parry timing and jump controls feel unclear or uncomfortable.

Game Description

Combat System: The Ultimate Clash of Blades Experience an advanced parrying system that brings the chilling tension of a Katana duel to life. Guard: Raise your sword to block deadly enemy attacks. Parry: Deflect attacks with perfect timing to turn the tide of battle. Focus: Focus is depleted when guarding or taking damage. If your Focus runs out entirely, your stance will break, leaving you defenseless. However, executing a perfect parry will drain your enemy's Focus instead, creating an opening for a fatal blow. Collection Elements: Secrets of a Hidden World Explore every corner of the intricately interwoven Metroidvania map to uncover various hidden collectibles and forge your own path. Story: For the Revival of the Clan To rebuild the fallen Amane clan, Yurina Amane becomes a 'Mikoto', the clan's representative duelist, striking down the formidable foes that stand in her way one by one.
