The World's Shortest Horror Game

ONE BUTTON. A TERRIBLE IDEA. How much horror can fit between START and the end credits? The World's Shortest Horror Game is a bite-sized horror-comedy game that lasts only a few minutes. It gives you one simple task: Press the button. Take your seat. Put on your headphones. Check the volume. Look at the button. Decide that you're ready. Realize that you aren't. Press it anyway. Saying any more would spoil half the game. For now, all you need to know is that it involves analog horror, maliciously timed audio, one nasty surprise, and an end-credit sequence that takes the whole thing far too seriously. This is a microgame. It is not a traditional, full-length horror adventure. It was made to be played in minutes, passed around between friends, streamed for reactions, or sent as a tiny prank disguised as a gift. YOU PRESSED IT. NOW IT'S YOUR FRIEND'S TURN. Gift it to a friend. Don't tell them too much. Just say, “I found a really short game.” Tell them to wear headphones. If possible, ask them to share their screen. Then sit back and find out whether your friendship can survive this. WHAT AWAITS YOU? One button and one terrible idea. A short, complete horror experience with no filler. Analog-horror aesthetics and carefully timed sound design. Dark comedy delivered with a completely straight face. Built for sharing with friends, gifting, and hunting for reactions on stream. Optional, moderated Community Credits: Leave one public name behind, or quietly flee the scene without one. Interface support for 31 languages. Headphones are strongly recommended. Make sure your friend wears them too. CONTENT WARNING Contains sudden loud sounds, rapid glitch imagery, and brief flashing effects. Community Credits may display moderated nicknames submitted by other players. Participation is entirely optional.
