Backstory
From the muddy, ice-covered earth, all manner of creatures awaken.
The thin layer of snow covering Gensokyo was enough to seal away the earth spirits that had awakened this winter
and further slow the movements of the fairies. That season of peaceful slumber
is now drawing to a close.
Hakurei Shrine. It is a shrine built in a remote, isolated region.
Reimu Hakurei, the shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine, heard a strange rumor
from a wizard living in the forest.
The rumor was that a mysterious ship had been spotted flying through the sky
amidst a break in the clouds. It seemed the ship was circling through the clouds
as if searching for something.
Marisa: “…Rumor has it that ship is a treasure ship carrying the Seven Lucky Gods,
and if you catch it, you’ll never want for anything for the rest of your life.
That’s why it’s running away from greedy people, they say.”
Reimu: “Do you actually believe such a ridiculous rumor?”
Marisa Kirisame, the witch who lives in the forest, furrowed her brow.
Marisa: “Of course I don’t believe it.
If a ship like that were really flying through the sky,
we’d be able to spot it right away, even from the shrine.”
Reimu: “A treasure ship, huh?”
Marisa: “Last year’s crop failed because of the abnormal summer weather.
When people get anxious, rumors like that start spreading.
It’s like praying to the gods—or rather, leaving it up to others.”
Reimu: “A treasure ship, huh.
They say it’s loaded with rare items and gold and silver treasures from all over the world.”
Marisa: “That’s right.
It’s the treasure ship said to be carrying the Seven Lucky Gods.”
Reimu: “A treasure ship, huh.”
Marisa: “Hmm…”
The conversation between Reimu and Marisa came to an abrupt halt there.
There’s no smoke without fire.
I don’t know if it’s the Treasure Ship or not, but maybe people who’ve seen something floating in the sky
are spreading that rumor.
It seems they’re both trying not to let the other figure them out. What broke the silence
was a visitor coming down from the mountain.
Sanae: “Oh my, how odd.
I didn’t expect you to still be here.”
She was Sanae Kazegaya, a newcomer to the mountain.
Reimu: “It’s rare to see you here.
Is there something you need?”
Sanae: “It’s nothing major, really…
Have you seen a ship floating in the sky, Reimu?
I was sure it had already set sail.”
Reimu and Marisa exchanged glances.
Reimu: “A ship floating in the sky!?”
Sanae: “I have some business with that ship, so I was trying to gather
as much information as I could…”
Reimu: “Huh? Wait a sec.”
Marisa: “So the rumors about a flying ship were true after all?”
Sanae: “Huh? You didn’t know?
I mean, it’s so obvious, isn’t it?”
Sanae pointed at the sky with an expression that seemed to say, “What, you didn’t notice until now?”
Reimu and Marisa both looked up instinctively.
There, a huge black shadow unlike anything they’d ever seen was about to vanish among the clouds.
The blue sky faded in the ship’s shadow, and the clouds seemed to take on a faint purple hue.
――Inside, it was completely empty.
The gold and silver treasures that had once been here were long gone, and all that remained was the musty smell
of eight hundred years of mold.
The cold spring breeze alone wasn’t enough to blow away the musty smell.
However, the treasure left behind by that person—even if reduced to fragments—would likely
not have lost its power.
If I could gather all those fragments, perhaps…

Also, Bentler items with a pentagonal frame are a sign that an UFO will appear

System Tips

Be sure to actively collect any unwanted fixed Bentler Items while the UFO is active.
・If you enter a conversation with a boss while a UFO is on screen, the UFO will “read the room” and explode.
It might be a bit of a waste to summon a UFO right before or during a conversation.
・Bentler items will “read the room” and disappear once a conversation begins.
・If you stay near a Capricious Bentler Item, it will stop changing colors,
and it will also stop fleeing off-screen during that time.
・If a sub-boss or boss appears while a UFO is on screen, the UFO will flee,
but you can still defeat the boss.
